Our board meets regularly to discuss our work.
We are committed to openness and transparency. The board conducts as much of its business as possible in a session that the public are welcome to attend and observe. To protect confidentiality some business is discussed in a private session.
At the end of the meeting, if time permits, the Chair may invite members of the public to ask a question or briefly address the board. Questions should be:
• Addressed through the Chair
• About matters under consideration or of current public interest
• Submitted to the Assistant Director of Corporate Governance in advance, if about a specific matter, so we can find relevant information.
• We may not be able to answer a question fully in public session, for example, if it could disclose personal details.
Public Board Meetings
Items discussed in public board usually include:
• policies, reports and strategic plans.
• committee reports.
• strategic risk register and staff survey results.
Private Board Meetings
We only discuss items in private session to protect confidentiality. These include:
• cases that may identify people who use services, carers or staff members
• commercially-sensitive information and legal advice.
Please note: Visitors may take written notes, but using mobile devices during a meeting is not allowed unless the board gives prior agreement.
The agenda and meeting papers are available on this page a few days before each meeting.
Please see below the list of the Trust Board meetings for this year and the previous year, as well as future dates for 2024/25 (papers from prior years are available on request by emailing: ccs.accesstoinfo@nhs.net).
The relevant papers will appear if you click on your chosen date for each meeting shortly before it's due to take place.
