Research

Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is a research active Trust, and we're committed to offering patients opportunities to be involved in research and promoting a research culture across our workforce.  

The research team promotes national and local research in the following ways:  

  • Facilitates adoption and delivery of National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio studies.  

  • Encourages and supports staff to undertake projects at BSc, MSc, PhD and post-doctoral levels and fellowships.  

  • Supports student placements and research volunteers.  

  • Runs an entry level introductory course: the research champions programme (RCP).  

  • Runs a principal investigators (PI) support group.  

  • Supports Trust-wide patient outcome measures (POMs) within communities of practice.
