The research team promotes national and local research in the following ways:
Facilitates adoption and delivery of National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio studies.
Encourages and supports staff to undertake projects at BSc, MSc, PhD and post-doctoral levels and fellowships.
Supports student placements and research volunteers.
Runs an entry level introductory course: the research champions programme (RCP).
Runs a principal investigators (PI) support group.
Supports Trust-wide patient outcome measures (POMs) within communities of practice.
