Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act gives a general right of access to information held by public authorities.
It is our duty to say whether or not we hold information requested and to provide it, subject to exemptions. Some of these exemptions require us to carry out a public interest test to determine whether or not the information should be disclosed.
We have a Publication Scheme which sets out the “classes” of information we hold and how and when we publish that information.
The Publication Scheme is intended to give access to routinely published information held by the Trust. Much of this information is already available on this website. The Publication Scheme can be viewed here.

Charges and response times
Requests should contain sufficient information to allow us to identify and locate the information you require. There will be no charge for this service provided the cost to the Trust for supplying the information does not exceed £450. The Trust will not normally provide information where the cost of supplying it would exceed £450.
The Trust aims to respond to every request within 20 working days. However this process may take longer if we are considering whether or not it is in the public interest to withhold information which is subject to an exemption.
If we need clarification from you about the information you are requesting, to help us locate or retrieve the information or make it a manageable request, the time for response will not start until you provide clarification.
If you are not happy with the response we give you can request a review. You should forward your complaint to the above address and we will investigate the handling and or response to your request. We will aim to respond in 20 working days.

Personal information
Health records and other personal information cannot be provided under the FOI Act. Requests for your personal information can be made under the Data Protection Act 2018.
