Accessibility Statement

This Accessibility Statement covers www.cambscommunityservices.nhs.uk

This website is run by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. We are a Public Sector Body and answerable to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). It is responsible for making sure that we comply with the latest law related to public sector websites. Therefore, Cambridgeshire Community Services Trust is committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

PDFS - related to service provision

  • 1.1.1 Non-text content - some pages include images without text alternatives, which means some content is not available when using assistive technology.

Non-accessible Content - content is not within the scope of the applicable legislation'

  • If you cannot see very well and use a screen reader to help you, some of our older versions of PDF and Word documents published before September 2018 cannot be read by a screen reader. Providing they are not essential (in relation to our services) they are exempt.
  • If you cannot see very well, some of our older animations published before September 2018 do not include voiceovers. Even though these are exempt, we are working to ensure highly watched videos have voiceovers added.
  • If you cannot hear very well, some of our older videos (that include speech) published before September 2018 do not have captions to tell you what is being said. Even these are exempt, we are working to ensure highly watched videos have captions added.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 28 August 2023 and will be reviewed in August 2024. This site was tested using a combination of ReciteMe accessibility checker and Silktide in 2021.Content was selected to ensure a good representation of different pages.

Due to the numerous fixes required and the age of the website system, many changes could not be applied within reasonable effort. Therefore this website is being decommissioned and will be replaced. This website will not be retested as a result.

The new website system went live from September 2023. A new accessibility statement is available and awaiting external testing. Over the next 24 months all the content from this website will be transferred across to the new website system.
