Patient safety

Ensuring the safety of our patients is paramount to Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. This is supported through incident reporting, education and training, the implementation of a just and open culture and via the patient safety incident response framework (PSIRF).

PSIRF represents a new approach to responding to patient safety incidents which we've actively adopted and supports our aims in maintaining effective systems and processes for responding to patient safety incidents, for the purpose of learning and improving. As part of the framework, we've set out our plan for how we'll respond to patient safety incidents so that we can understand what was intended, what happened and what we can learn and improve from. This will support us to continue to cultivate an open and transparent patient safety culture.

Further information on PSIRF can be found on the NHS England website: Patient Safety Incident Response Framework

Our patient safety incident response policy can be found here and our patient safety incident response plan can be found here.

Patient Experience
The staff are wonderful; the receptionists were polite and efficient, the nurses I have seen, were incredible.
