Children's Room Luton Treatment Centre #2

What we do

The service is a team of experienced Children's Nurse Practitioners who have undertaken additional advanced training including prescribing. We will carry out an initial telephone assessment and if a face to face assessment is required we will ask you to attend our clinic based at Luton Treatment Centre, Vestry Close, Luton, LU1 1AR or a home visit if a face to face assessment is required at the weekend or Bank Holidays.


The service is available 8-6 pm Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays).

How to contact our service

Who can refer to us? 

  • The Paediatric Emergency Department, Paediatric Assessment Unit
  • Children’s Inpatient Wards and the GP Urgent Clinic at Luton and Dunstable Hospital
  • The Children’s Community Nursing Teams
  • Health visiting team
  • The walk in centre/GPs.
  • Ambulance Service
  • NHS 111 Service (for children and babies aged 0-5 years).  A direct booking appointment will be given to be seen in our clinic at Luton Treatment Centre.

Once referred to the service, you will be given the direct contact details for the rapid response team. 
If you are worried about your child, please call 111 for health related advice or dial 999 in an emergency.
