With growing and ageing population there is an increasing demand on community health and social care services, particularly as new treatments and technologies are developed. 

Much of the focus of older people’s services is to support people to remain as independent as possible, prevent unnecessary hospital stays and support people to return home as quickly as possible if they do need go to hospital.

We also provide urgent care for a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries and specialist diagnostic testing.

For professionals: please be advised that our single point of access telephone number is 0333 405 3000, which is now operational 24/7, connecting you to a variety of teams including diabetes, respiratory, TB, heart failure, tissue viability, district nursing, community matrons, rapid response, At Home First, Parkinson’s service, and cancer and palliative care (excludes GP Liaison team and Luton Treatment Centre).
