Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes are run by specialist respiratory therapists and clinical respiratory nurse specialists from Luton Community Respiratory Team.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a seven-week course, with two sessions per week (total of 14 sessions). Each session lasts for two hours (one hour of exercise, one hour of education).
How do you get onto a programme?
If you would like to join a Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme you can be referred via your GP, Practice Nurse, Consultant or any health care professional.
Once you have been referred, you will be given an assessment appointment with one of the Team.
During this appointment we will discuss Pulmonary Rehabilitation in greater depth and assess your suitability for the program. You will then be given a start date to commence Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
The groups are run at Luton Treatment Centre in Vestry Close, Luton.
You may be able to self-refer to Pulmonary Rehab at Luton Treatment Centre – see ‘Self-refer’ section below.
