Acquired brain injury (ABI) and neuro rehab services, Bedfordshire

ADULT’S SERVICES

Bedfordshire Neuro Therapy Services (Acquired Brain Injury /Early Supported Discharge and Community Neuro Rehabilitation) continue to work together and meet clinical priorities:

  • Pathway 1 – patients are supported in their own home following hospital admission for stroke. Your rehabilitation needs will be assessed and supported in the most appropriate and safe way e.g.  through video calls or face to face visits
  • Pathway 2 & 3 – patients who are unable to return home on discharge from hospital may benefit from a period of in-patient rehabilitation. Placement and application for NHS funding will be co-ordinated by the service. The service will co-ordinate placement for people with stroke, acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions
  • Community rehabilitation – Patients are supported in the community with rehabilitation depending on clinical priorities. This input may be via video calls, telephone contact or face to face visits.

Hours of service are 8am-4pm Mon – Friday.
