During your child’s development reviews, your health visitor will ask you how your child is doing and about any concerns you may have. If your baby was born prematurely, their developmental age will be calculated from your original due date, not from the actual date they were born. It is a good idea to think about any concerns or questions you have before you see your health visitor and write them down so that you don’t forget to ask anything.

Our team includes health visitors, community nursery nurses, student health visitors, student nurses and administrators. We work closely with midwives, school nurses, children’s centres, GP’s, social care and voluntary services.

The health visiting team in your local area are happy to answer any queries or concerns you may have. To contact any of our teams (listed below), call the Health HUB number on 0300 555 0606 or email us at ccs.bedsandlutonchildrenshealthhub@nhs.net. Calls will be answered Monday Friday, between 8am and 5pm, exluding Bank Holidays.
We also offer a free, confidential text advice service for parents, called Parentline. Simply text 07507 331456 with your question to start the conversation – our team will be there to answer your queries from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
