May Joint Winners Hannah Burlinson, Physiotherapist and Annie Stonestreet, Health Visitor

by Rachel Everett | Jun 01, 2022
This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors, and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.

We are delighted to announce that our May ‘Shine a Light’ winners are:

Hannah Burlinson, physiotherapist with our Cambridgeshire & Peterborough DynamicHealth Team and Annie Stonestreet, Health Visitor in our Bedford 0-19 Team Their nominations struck a chord with our Executive Team for going above and beyond to ensure the very best outcomes for their patients.

Hannah was nominated for escalating a potential domestic abuse case and working with the Trust’s safeguarding team to advocate for her patient, present her safeguarding concerns to multi-agency complex case panels and, in a difficult situation, ensure this lady was protected and was aware of how to access support services and remain safe.

Championing the needs of a five year old vulnerable child and their foster family led to Annie’s nomination.  Prior to Annie’s involvement this young boy was identified as having development delays, learning needs and behavioural difficulties.  Through rigorous and detailed assessment Annie identified that with assistance, compassion, routine, love and nurture this young boy could meet his developmental milestones and hopefully go on to be adopted.
