  • for the fifth year running our staff rated working for the Trust as a positive experience in the national staff survey.Being rated best in the country when compared to our peers in 19 out of the 32 areas rated (including staff recommendation of the Trust as a place to work or receive treatment), and better than average in 29 of the 32 areas is simply phenomenal. We know that an engaged and happy workforce is directly linked to the provision of good patient outcomes, so we were particularly pleased that our staff engagement score was the 9th highest nationally for all NHS provider organisations.
  • the Care Quality Commission rating our services ‘Good’ following an extensive inspection
  • exceeding our target of 90% of the 33,500 patients we surveyed expressing satisfaction with our services
  • winning several multi-million pound contracts across the region; each for periods of up to five years bringing additional resources and security in to the Trust
  • achieving a modest and planned operating surplus despite on-going financial constraints and ever-growing demands for our services, all of which will be ploughed back into improving services in the coming year
