Jenny Pearson, Assistant Business Development Manager, St Ives - October Winner

by Kirstie Flack | Oct 25, 2018

This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.

The winner for October 2018 is:

Je
nny Pearson, Assistant Business Development Manager, St IvesJenny Pearson14

Jenny was nominated by Bruce Luter for the successful submission of two tender bids. The Trust had to submit two bids at the end of September 2018. Bruce said: “Bidding presents a considerable challenge in any circumstances; the work is demanding and there is a considerable time pressure to compile a raft of synchronised documents. Overlapping bids add a new dimension altogether.

“Jenny worked tirelessly through the weekend to complete the two bids and submit them on time. Jenny is in a digital post and, whilst we have some bid capability elsewhere within the Business Development and Contracts team, these submissions would not have been achieved without her fantastic commitment. She gave up this time with good grace forgoing a weekend with her young family.

“I believe her commitment deserves extraordinary recognition because without this the Trust may not have been able to submit the bids on time and to the high standard necessary to retain key service lines within the Trust's portfolio.”

Huge congratulations to Jenny!

Also nominated this month:

Team Birch - Bruce Luter & Amy Jackson, CCS colleagues who supported the Beads of Courage Sponsored Cycle Ride

Bruce and Amy were nominated by Monty Keuneman for the Beads of Courage cycle ride. Monty said: “The Cycle ride was a complete success from the initial planning and organisation undertaken by Bruce and Amy to the volunteers / supporters who helped out on the day and not forgetting CCS and Team Birch colleagues who cycled on the day.

“Seeing the smiles on the little faces of the two children, who represented the young patients who will benefit, at the end of the ride made the tremendous effort by all completely worthwhile. A year’s worth of beads is worth more than the £3,500+ raised for the children who will receive them.”

Huge congratulations to everyone nominated this month.
