From the smallest gesture that made your day to something that you’ll remember for a lifetime ... let us know!
Whether it is someone involved in your care, someone that made a difference when you visited us, or perhaps you want to recognise a fellow colleague within the Trust, just fill in the nomination form and we’ll do the rest.
Every month, our panel will choose one member of staff or a team as the ‘shine a light’ award winner.
Teams will be presented with a voucher for £50 and individual winner's will receive £25. We will also promote their story through our website and newsletters, along with a summary of everyone that was nominated.

May Shine A Light Winner - Scott Ferguson

This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors, and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.
We're delighted to announce that our May ‘Shine a Light’ winner is: Scott Ferguson a Clinical Psychologist from the Bedfordshire Acquired Brain Injury team.Scott was nominated for his outstanding work to support a young service user with her transition to rehabilitation bed. Scott went out of his way to ensure that she had all the provisions required to make her transition as smooth and comfortable as possible. Jane Willmott who nominated Scott for the award said "without his actions the service user might never have gone to a rehab bed due to the many obstacles that were in the way".
What a fantastic nomination!

Laura Bolino, Support Manager
Laura was nominated for the fantastic support she provides to the whole team, even when it is not her responsibility. Her nominator stated "she is a fountain of knowledge and appreciated by many".
Natasha Summerfield, Nursery Nurse
A service user alerted Laura's nominator to the exceptional service she had provided. The service user commended Laura's professionalism and the way she showed empathy, stating it was a rare skill.
Lisa Parrish, Head of Planned Care
Lisa came up with initiative to install Apple air tags in expensive pieces of equipment such as syringe drivers, these enable the team to track where equipment is and save money. This initiative has now been adopted by the entire trust.
Kirstie Flack, Communications Officer
Kirstie was nominated for the exceptional way she supports the delivery of the weekly Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Children and Young People's Bulletin. Kirstie's nominator praised her ability to unscramble some of their requests and work in a timely fashion.
Joanna Smith, Team Manager
Joanna was nominated by a colleague for the support she had given during a period of ill health. Joanna enable a collaborative approach to working meaning the nominator was not required to take time off work.
Curt McKenzie, Sue Howe and Kirsty Hughes, Dental Nurse and Safeguarding Adults Nurse
Curt, Sue and Kirsty demonstrated excellent team work when dealing with a vulnerable patient recently. Ensuring the needs of the patient were at the centre of how they managed the situation.
