From the smallest gesture that made your day to something that you’ll remember for a lifetime ... let us know!
 
Whether it is someone involved in your care, someone that made a difference when you visited us, or perhaps you want to recognise a fellow colleague within the Trust, just fill in the nomination form and we’ll do the rest. 
 
Every month, our panel will choose one member of staff or a team as the ‘shine a light’ award winner.  

Teams will be presented with a voucher for £50 and individual winner's will receive £25.  We will also promote their story through our website and newsletters, along with a summary of everyone that was nominated.

September Shine A Light Joint Winners - Lauren McCartney and Aderonke Odumade.

This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors, and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.

We're delighted to announce that our joint September ‘Shine a Light’ winners are: Lauren McCartney and Aderonke Odumade. 

Lauren was nominated by Emma Sillet for the support she has been providing to a young person in one of her schools. Emma said: "Lauren has taken a lead in coordinating a joint approach with the school to ensure the young person has a comprehensive support plan in place and has co-produced this with the young person and the appropriate adults in school."

Jo McDonnell nominated Aderonke for the outstanding way she coordinated a care package, across multiple organisations to ensure that her patient received the very best end of life care.

Other nominations this month were:

Tracey Hodge, Sinead Canavan and Anna Foley - Apprentice assistant practitioners
Clare Estes nominated Tracey, Sinead and Anna for their work delivering valuable teaching sessions to our cohort of Student SCPHNS during their induction week. Their presentations were excellent and beautifully show-cased the amazing work our CNNs and AAPs do in our team. 

Caroline Panks - Education mental health practitioner 
Emma Campbell-Scott nominated Caroline. She said: "Caroline is the member of the team who will always go out of her way to support a colleague in schools/groups/giving advice and she is always the one who will always put herself forward for any opportunities that come up and she will travel across the (very large) Fenland patch at the drop of a hat to support a child/young person/family".

Anna Maria Vayer, Ranjeeta Bohara, Janet Cole & Kathleen Murphy - Luton adults rapid response
Christopher Morris nominated Anna Maria, Ranjeeta and Kathleen for the way they responded to a significant event at The Poynt. The Rapid Response staff working on site that night remained calm and focused in what was a very stressful situation, ensuring they did the best to support the emergency services whilst making sure they also did the best to support patients. 

Callista Holden & Amy Critchley - Health advisor and clinic nurse specialist
Callista and Amy were nominated by Leila Daniel. for the outstanding way they supported a servicer user who had disclosed a safeguarding incident. They rearranged their busy work schedule and clinic, to support the patient to attend the iCaSH clinic for further assessment, support and to ensure her safety. 

Children in care team - Beds and Luton
Lilly Mitchell nominated the team for the award. Lilly said: "The team continue to go above and beyond to overcome adversity and achieve remarkable results. It is incredible how this team communicate with each other. They have a very high level of emotional intelligence and check in with each other regularly, taking a genuine interest in the health and wellbeing of their colleagues".

Governance and resilience team - Executive assistant sector
Sarah Feal nominated the team. She said: "The team has recently achieved a rating of 'substantial' assurance and positive feedback following an internal audit. This is the highest level attainable and the opinion of the auditor was the executive assistants provided a high quality professional service to the Board and its committees, which was evidenced through the quality of their minute-taking and capturing actions and ensuring their follow-up".

The staff are wonderful; the receptionists were polite and efficient, the nurses I have seen, were incredible.
