PAEDIATRIC NUTRITION and DIETETICS

Patients are seen by a specialist paediatric dietitian in a number of varying outpatient community clinics.

Dietitians work closely and accept referrals from a number of sources including but not exclusively:

• Speech and Language Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Consultants
• Health Visitors
• Psychologists

Reasons for referral include:

• Faltering Growth
• Nutritional Deficiencies/Selective Eating
• Food Allergy/Intolerance
• Gastrointestinal
• Home Enteral Feeding
• Paediatric Diabetes (through the NWAFT paediatric diabetes team)

We are currently unable to accept referrals for weight management or eating disorders.
