Co-production refers to a way of working where service providers and users work together to reach a collective outcome.
We have a vision to establish local Working Together Groups across the Trust, to bring together service users, staff, partner organisations and people from our local communities together to talk to us about the services that we deliver.
These local Working Together Groups will offer people the opportunity to make real change within our services; who better to tell us what needs to change than the people receiving the care?
Key aspects of a successful co-produced project include:
- Recognising people as assets.
- Building on people's capabilities.
- Developing two-way, reciprocal relationships.
- Encouraging peer support.
- Blurring boundaries between delivering and receiving services.
- Facilitating rather than delivering.
For our children’s services in Cambridgeshire, there is a legal requirement to co-produce as set out in the Children and Families Act and the NHS Constitution.
We always need members of our Community to join us on projects and various co-production initiatives such as:
- Focus groups (online and/or in person).
- Supporting interview panels.
- Completing surveys.
- Providing feedback on written information.
