From the smallest gesture that made your day to something that you’ll remember for a lifetime ... let us know!
 
Whether it is someone involved in your care, someone that made a difference when you visited us, or perhaps you want to recognise a fellow colleague within the Trust, just fill in the nomination form and we’ll do the rest. 
 
Every month, our panel will choose one member of staff or a team as the ‘shine a light’ award winner.  

Teams will be presented with a voucher for £50 and individual winner's will receive £25.  We will also promote their story through our website and newsletters, along with a summary of everyone that was nominated.

August Winner Lisa Broom, Health Visitor, Luton

This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors, and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.

We are delighted to announce that our August ‘Shine a Light’ winner is:

Lisa Broom, Health Visitor, Luton 

Lisa was nominated by Alison Braniff, for her persistence and professionalism, which resulted in a young person accessing the safeguarding support they so desperately needed.

Staff Member: Priscilla Greenwood
Nominated by: Julia Ashmore on behalf of a service user
Priscilla was nominated by a service user who, despite not needing much support after her new baby was born, felt that Priscilla had a natural way of putting others at ease and that she was clearly in the right job.

Staff Member: Joseph Patman
Nominated by: Sarah Saul
Sarah nominated Joe for the shine a light award acknowledging the way that Joe had 'stepped up' to support Dynamic Health through a difficult period involving absences, leave and vacancies. Stating he had been a 'go to' for leads and herself and noting his reliability and kindness.

Staff Member: David Barker

Hayley nominated David for going above and beyond to help a deaf patient feel welcome during his vaccination. David adapted his PPE to ensure that the patient could visibly see his face to communicate. 

Staff Member: Dr Thomas O'Connor
Nominated by: Lisa Humphray
Thomas was nominated by a service user for his compassionate way of working with her autistic son, stating "it was such a pleasure to witness someone taking the time to help my child in this way and meet them where they are at"

Staff Member: Donna Malley
Nominated by: Helen Thomas
Helen noted that Donna was a new member to the Beds Acquired Brain Injury Service who had immediately made a positive contribution to the development of the inpatient pathway. This was echoed by the Deputy Director of an external rehab unit our patients us, he stated "Donna's knowledge of ABI is evident and she is a very positive asset to the team"/

Lisa was nominated by Alison for her exceptional work involving a child safeguarding case. Lisa was able to safeguard the child and ensure that any medical needs are being addressed.
