This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.
The winner for November is: The School Nurse Duty Desk Team, Cambridgeshire
Congratulations to the team who were nominated by Sonya Moss as follows:
Jackie McMillan for initiating the SN duty desk with Jacqui Wynn; Skyler Moulder and Sharyn Baines for manning the duty desk and training school nurse colleagues enabling them to perform on the duty desk rota; Linda Flack, Kay Wallis, Toni Starkey and Sonya Moss for taking forward the School Nurse allocation of work from the duty desk under new service redesign and Wendy Elliot-Brown and Sharon Butt for administering the school nurse duty desk.
Congratulations to you all!
Other nominees were:
Children's Community Nursing Team, Luton's Children's Community Nursing Team
The team were nominated by Jo McDonnell for carrying out the BGC clinics up to four times a week to prescribe and administer the BCG vaccine to babies on the Maternity Unit at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. There was a period of time when there was no vaccine available which had resulted in a backlog of over 4000 babies that require the vaccine. The team are working tirelessly to vaccinate these babies whilst continuing to provide a seamless service on their own caseloads.
Leah Brown, Training Administrator, Luton Community Services
Leah was nominated by Zoe Bain for the great impact she has had on staff. They have received lots of positive feedback praising Leah for the way in which she goes out of her way to help staff with training issues and supports them in using ESR. Leah is helpful and thinks ahead so I believe she should be recognised for this.
Ben Whybrow, Physiotherapist, DynamicHealth MSK Physiotherapy Service, Brookfields, Cambridge
Ben was nominated by one of his patients for his professional, helpful, caring, friendly manner and above all for being encouraging at a time when she really needed it. He took his time during the consultation and was open to giving further advice and hearing her questions. She was extremely impressed by him and feels he should receive this positive feedback and praise and be given every encouragement to maintain his degree of outstanding professionalism combined with human warmth and empathy.
Thank you Ben!
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated this month.
