This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.
The winner for September was:
Glenn Johnson, HR Business Partner
Glenn was nominated by Ellen Ballantyne, Sarah Montagu and Karen Holland for being very supportive to the iCaSH Norfolk management team in recent times, providing advice and support, and picking up an increased workload over recent months. Ellen and colleagues felt that Glenn always listens to concerns and offers advice and guidance in a fair and balanced way and they really appreciate the level of support he provides.
Congratulations to Glenn!
Also nominated this month:
Greg Wisniewski, Senior Physiotherapist, Doddington Hospital
Greg was nominated by Martin Cragg on behalf of one of his patients, for the manipulation of his spine. This brought about an immediate and significant increase in flexibility. He then arranged a referral to a surgeon. He said: “Greg scores right at the very top for Care, Concern and Competence.”
Charlton Barnachea, Audiologist, Edwin Lobo Centre, Luton
Charlton was nominated by the mother of one of his patients for being very friendly and creating an instant rapport with her daughter. How he conducted the hearing test was great. He did not make her daughter feel that she had failed when she didn't hear a sound at a certain volume. He also explained everything he was doing and his advice on next steps was also very good. She said: “I would highly recommend Charlton for anyone who needs to have hearing tests, and especially for children.”
Hazel Byatt and Dental Team, Brookfield’s Dental Service
The team were nominated by a patient who needed two wisdom extractions under local anaesthetic. He was lucky to be offered a cancellation appointment. From his initial extraction enquiry to Hazel Byatt (admin), to Pat at reception, to the dental surgeons and their colleagues, they were all very professional in their roles. He was very comfortable in their care and the team were very pleasant, “the best he has seen in a long time. A big thank you to them all.”
Congratulations to everyone nominated this month.
