January 2023 Shine A Light Winner - Katy Stockley

This award is an opportunity for patients, families, visitors, and Trust colleagues to say ‘thank you – you made a difference’ to a member of staff or a team for anything (however small!) that helped make their experience of our services better.

We're delighted to announce that our January ‘Shine a Light’ winner is: 

Katy Stockley, Rapid Response Sister, Luton

Katy was nominated by Karen Loft for the way she provided support in an emergency situation. Karen said: “I so appreciated her support in this situation and that despite how under pressure the service currently is she didn't hesitate in diverting from her scheduled day to assist me and this patient. She was a star!"

What a lovely nomination, well done Katy!

Laura Chase – iCaSH, Lowestoft
Laura was nominated by Peter Aldridge who said: “Since beginning my time here at Lowestoft iCaSH I have always found Laura a very conscientious worker with extreme work ethics in performing all tasks as well as making sure all individuals whether that is service users or staff she will always go above and beyond and maintain very high standards with all tasks.”

Vanessa Floyd, Recruitment, The Meadows
Vanessa was nominate by Kirstie Lynn stating "she always goes above and beyond to support my recruitment processes. Despite me making mistakes and forgetting to update TRAC, she always kindly reminds me and never seems to get frustrated."

Ganga Allen and Catherine Ivie, Special Care Dentistry, Suffolk
Ganga and Catherine were nominated by Lisa Wright for their help liaising with the team at the West Suffolk to move a procedure from main theatre to day surgery, and altering the order of the operating list to enable the service user to attend.

Matthew Powell, Finance, The Meadows
Matthew was nominated by Karen Fell, stating "Matt has been instrumental in supporting the Patient Experience Team to set up the payment procedure for reward and recognition of Involvement Partners, which is a completely new initiative for the Trust. Throughout both of these projects, Matt has been responsive and helpful, made suggestions for improvements, and been an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you Matt - you are a star!"

Sally Parker, MHST Administrator, Fenland
Sally was nominated by Emma Sillet for the way that she has gone about and beyond in her duties, all the time to ensure the team is supported. "We call her Super Sally and that title more than fits everything she does for us on a daily basis and she deserves some recognition and appreciation for all her work."

Kirstie Barrett, Project Support Officer, The Meadows
Kirstie was nominated by John an international recruit for her priceless support. John said "Kirstie has been there supporting me from the very beginning until now which made me feel very proud of being a part of this team."
