The service is provided by teams led by Consultant Community Paediatricians, who work in partnership with Community Children’s Nurses, Therapists and other Agencies. It provides a wide range of medical advice, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and support services in the following areas:
- Children with developmental concerns including potential Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnoses
- Children in special schools requiring medication or other treatments during the day
- Medical advice for Education Health Care Plans
- Safeguarding children, child protection and children in need
