Co-production is when our services and service users work together. This ensures that we involve people with lived experiences in our decision making. It helps us to make services that meet the needs of our communities.

Welcome to our service

Our team uses a co-production approach to make changes and improvements. This means we work together with communities from the beginning of a project. We will be honest and transparent, share mutual respect and commit to equal and shared decision making

We bring together a wide range of groups to work together. These groups include:
- service users
- community members
- partner organisations
- CCS staff
This gives everyone an opportunity to make a real change to our services. Who better to tell us about what to change, than the people receiving our care?

We work virtually and face-to-face. We want to make sure that our services are inclusive and meet the needs of the communities we serve. We are happy to chat about how we can work together in a way that meets your needs.

We encourage feedback on our services. We use this feedback as a starting point to make changes and improvements.
Our team focuses on "doing with", not "doing to". We follow the co-production rainbow.

Educate. Telling people about a decision that has already been made or will be made. No opportunity to get involved or make changes.

Consult. Asking for 'yes or no' opinions on fully developed ideas and options. Limited opportunity to affect the final decision.

Engage. Gathering opinions and ideas about an upcoming decision. Open conversations with people. Feedback has a big influence on the final outcome.

Co-design. Designing the solution with people. Ideas are included in the final outcome.

Co-production. Working with professionals and people with lived experiences from start to finish. It is an equal partnership.

By working together with people and communities it helps:
- make sure services are fit for purpose and tailored to each user
- people feel valued and heard
- use everyone's experience and expertise to find the right solutions faster to help services work better
- involve people in their care
- communities to be healthier and happier

How to get involved

We are always looking for members of our community to join in! This includes parents, carers and young people. We want to hear your voices.

Some of the things you can get involved with include:

attending and participating in a meeting to share your ideas for service improvements
being part of a project group to design new service developments
co-design and co-deliver training for our team members
joining an interview panel to interview our new recruits
sharing your story for our colleagues to learn from
attending a focus group
completing surveys
providing feedback on new initiatives or written materials
speaking at a conference or event

You do not need to have any previous knowledge or specialist expertise or experience. We will offer you payment for your time, in line with our rewards and recognition policy.
