Perinatal mental health support from your health visitor

What we do

In Bedfordshire your health visitor will speak with you antenatally and then at each contact about your mental health and emotional wellbeing.

This is an important part of our normal practice because from conception to when your baby is about one year you may experience feelings of low mood and anxiety even if you have never felt this way before.

These feelings are treatable and supportable,  but only if we know so please be open with us and let us know what you are thinking and feeling.  There will always be a range of things that we can offer or refer you on to for support and treatment if you need it.

How to contact our service

We are part of the health visiting service, so you can contact us via our HealthHUB: 0300 555 0606

This service is open 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

If your health visitor has invited you to a video consultation you can access it by pressing the button below:

The staff are wonderful; the receptionists were polite and efficient, the nurses I have seen, were incredible.
